fiddler hangs trying to load

Recently updated to latest version, and fiddler stopped loading, it remains indefinitely in this screen saying Searching for prior instance.

    I'm getting this as well.  Running v4.6.20173.38786 on Windows 7

    It worked fine and then one day it stopped working...not sure what changed.  Restarting does not help - re-download and reinstall didn't help either.  Going to try uninstall and reinstall next.

    Which version of Fiddler on what operating system? Does the problem persist after you restart your PC?
